Greater Sudbury, Canada ARC CLIMBING & YOGA Full time

**Position**: Youth Summer Program Coordinator
**Contract Length**: 11 Weeks (June 19th-Sept 1st) Possible extension to part-time work during the school year
**Hours**: 40/hr a week Monday to Friday. Weeknights and weekends as needed.

**What You’ll do**:

- Responsible for the creation and delivery of Summer day camp programming specifically targeted toward youth ages 5 - 13.
- Provides support, training, and mentoring to all day camp staff and volunteers
- Responsible for scheduling, performance management, and program timeline preparation for Day Camp Assistants
- Assist with the development of the budget and operational plan for ARC Day Camps
- Ensure all program policies and procedures are implemented and carried out in day to day operations
- Communicate directly with clients, both the children attending the Summer Camps and their parents on a daily basis.
- Work as a liaison between ARC Summer Camp Staff and ARC Climbing and Yoga Staff

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a supervisory role
- Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers
- Excellent written communication skills
- Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding to sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
- Time management skills - must be able to plan, organize and prioritize
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office
- First Aid

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bilingual
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-Level C
- Previous Day Camp experience
- Knowledge of climbing procedures and safety guidelines
- Knowledge and experience climbing in an outdoor setting
- ACMG Certification
- Post-secondary education in science, health sciences, outdoor education or environmental sciences
