As demand for our services grows, we’re looking to add a skilled **Roller Operator** to our paving crew.
**Position Summary**:
We are hiring an experienced **Asphalt Roller Operator** to assist in compacting and finishing newly laid asphalt on roadways, parking lots, and driveways. This is a **non-union** position with full-time, seasonal work and opportunities for overtime.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate steel-drum and/or pneumatic rollers safely and efficiently
- Compact asphalt to proper density and finish specifications
- Work closely with paver and crew to maintain a smooth workflow
- Perform pre
- and post-operation equipment checks
- Maintain safe work practices and follow all safety guidelines
- Assist with general labor tasks as needed during downtime
**Requirements**:
- 3+ year of experience operating asphalt rollers
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and overtime
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to jobsite safety
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience on both breakdown and finish rollers
- Familiarity with compaction techniques and mat finish standards
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
