**Nail Technician Job Description**

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Perform a variety of nail services, including manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements.
- Ensure all tools and workstations are properly sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to clients’ needs and preferences.
- Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance the client experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the day.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and products to provide clients with the best options available.
- Assist with body waxing services as needed, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their nail care needs and aftercare instructions.

**Qualifications**
- Valid Nail Technician license as required by state regulations.
- Proven experience in nail care techniques and customer service is preferred.
- Strong upselling skills with an understanding of retail sales principles.
- Ability to sanitize tools and maintain a hygienic work environment consistently.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with clients effectively.
- Knowledge of body waxing techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
- A passion for beauty, nails, and providing exceptional client experiences.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.06-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 19 per week

Additional pay:

- Commission pay
- Tips

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Nanaimo, BC V9T 5K7: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Client: 1 year (preferred)
- Nail care: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Nail license (preferred)

**Location**:

Willingness to travel:
