Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved, maintained, and ensure the smooth and profitable running of the property, as well as supervising maintenance operations to ensure completion of work. This position is based at our **Holiday Inn Express Regina-South**, located in **Regina, SK.**

**BASIC REPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and complete work orders, including replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl, to uphold the hotel's quality standards.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments to ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities.
- Inspect and make minor repairs or replacements to electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems.
- Assist in routine and major repairs of hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC systems, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Maintain and service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals, cleaning filters, and completing maintenance request forms and logs.
- Enhance the building's exterior and curb appeal through tasks such as snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters, and perform painting and finishing as needed.
- Respond courteously to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Operate heavy machinery and dispose of garbage in accordance with property policies.
- Ensure the safe and hygienic upkeep of the pool by checking, cleaning, and recording duties related to the use and storage of chemicals, following company policies and health and safety regulations.
- Perform daily maintenance duties as allocated, contributing to the smooth running of departments and achieving guest satisfaction.
- Assist with routine testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety systems in line with property policies.
- Consult closely with the Maintenance Manager to minimize downtime of rooms and contribute to the overall profitability of the property.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the department during the Maintenance Manager’s absence.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
- 2 years of previous building maintenance experience. Supervisory experience an asset.
- Being able to legally work in Canada (no LMIA available)
- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
- Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co
- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
