**What a Bagel** is in search of a reliable and dedicated **Early Morning Baker** who excels in a dynamic, high-paced work environment. Our commitment is to offer customers a diverse selection of freshly baked goods, including breads, bagels, pastries, cakes, and more. **Full training is provided**

**Requirements**:

- Shifts start at 4am, thus vehicle is required
- Baking Experience: 1 year minimum
- Food Handler Certification

**Physical Requirements**:

- Attention to detail
- Fast-paced environment
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Repetitive tasks
- Standing for extended periods
- Tight deadlines

**Responsibilities**:

- Enforce all company policies.
- Understand food safety and quality control (know how finished product looks, tastes, and smells).
- Food quality - FIFO (food rotation).
- Prepare dough for bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
- Bake mixed dough and batters
- Understand all food temperatures
- Prepare special orders
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Accurately and properly proof pastries and breads
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Operate machinery
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Weekends as needed
