**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and create a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared according to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Stay updated on current food trends and techniques in sushi preparation.
- Provide exceptional service by engaging with customers when necessary and ensuring their dining experience is memorable.
**Skills**
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the restaurant or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of sushi techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for meal preparation.
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred; restaurant experience is a plus.
