Edmonton, Canada O'HANLON PAVING LTD Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the crews with Equipment Operator or labourer duties
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour and use of hands and tools
- Safe operation of equipment such as Wobbly, Roller operators or packers
- Work with mínimal supervision
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Some experience in operation of construction related equipment such as wobbly, packer or finished roller will be an asset; OR
- Some labourer experience assisting crews and operating construction equipment will be an asset;
- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment and municipal road building industry;
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time;
- Open to training & learning equipment for growth opportunity;
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to job sites;
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions;
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends;
- Valid safety certifications.

**Additional Information**:

- This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year
- This position is eligible for over-time
- Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
- Training will be provided for various activities
- We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season)
- Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season
