**Summary of Position**:
Reporting to the CFO based in Edmonton Alberta, this position is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely payment of payroll for 3 companies, including one US company.

**Accountabilities**:
Accurate and timely payment of payroll for 3 companies including: Two Canadian companies (one bi weekly cycle, one semi monthly cycle) and One US company (bi weekly cycle)

Various types of income including different hours types, day rates, and both taxable and no-taxable allowances which require some validation

Approximately 120 employees total

Lead the implementation of ADP WorkForce Now for Canada

Set up of new employees in ERP system used for timekeeping and in external
payroll processing services (ADP in Canada, Paychex in US)

Calculate and track accrued vacation for each employee

Maintenance of payroll records, including employee census, employee files, and
year end reports

Advise Controller and CFO on taxability of allowances and benefits

Manage the payroll administrator and provide a learning and leaderful environment for the payroll department within the accounting department

Facilitate the changing needs of the payroll department in a positive and proactive manner

Other responsibilities assigned by the CFO

**Requirements**:

- Member in good standing of the Canadian Payroll Association or related professional organization
- CMP designation
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP)
- Diploma in Business Administration
- 7 to 10 years experience
- Knowledge of US payroll an asset
- Experience with ADP WorkForce Now
- Desire to learn and maintain education
- Ability to work in fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Solutions oriented attitude
- Attention to detail a must

**This position is a full-time role beginning immediately, based out of Edmonton.**

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
