**Your Opportunity**:
Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) has an exciting opportunity in the Decision Support Office to bring on a Business Intelligence Analyst. This role will report to the Program Lead of Decision Support, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for delivering data solutions that support analytics, metrics, and decision-making. This role involves supporting ongoing reporting, key performance indicators, and evidence-based information to a variety of stakeholders. The Analyst will perform requirements gathering and analysis, data analysis, data mapping, functional design, functional testing, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and documentation. The Analyst will be proficient in reporting tool solutions. structured query language (SQL) querying, and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes. The Analyst will support the design, architecture, and usage of a cloud data warehouse.

**Description**:
The Analyst will: Work with stakeholders to support data and business needs, including performance measures and metrics. Perform statistical analysis and automate the analytical data workflow. Validate and resolve data discrepancies to ensure data quality, Write documentation according to standard operating procedures. Ensure continuous access to refined data sets with technical and user acceptance testing. Implement error and auditing processes to maintain accurate data workflow. Troubleshoot data-related issues and coordinate appropriate resources for resolution. Analyze, design, develop, document, implement, and maintain data environments. Support the design, architecture, and usage of data marts and data warehouses. Advise solutions, including dashboards and automated data workflows. Work collaboratively shared services teams, including data warehouse and IT teams.

**Required Qualifications**:
**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Experience in business intelligence visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI), and/or data workflows tools (Tableau Prep, Coalesce), and/or data science tools (R, Python).
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Completion of Master's degree in a technical/related field. Experience in a medical/health environment and/or EPIC electronic medical record (EMR), database modeling, tuning, auditing, data architecture, SQL coding, object-oriented programming, and report generation/analytics. Certifications and/or proficiency in database design, implementation, maintenance, querying, data science, advanced analytics, and/or statistics.
