Prime Lift is a division of the Prime Group of Companies and is the leading automotive lift sales, installation, inspection, and parts & service company in Atlantic Canada. We sell and service automotive equipment in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Labrador. We are looking for a Mobile Service and Installation Technician in our **Moncton **location to join our growing team.
**Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for**:
- Provide complete automotive lift inspections and service.
- Attend daily toolbox meetings via conference call.
- Diagnosing and repairing service equipment.
- Maintaining mechanical and physical condition of service equipment.
- Performing scheduled maintenance work.
- Managing van parts inventory.
- Maintaining customer’s equipment in a cost-effective manner.
- Responding to customer requests for service as assigned by the Service Coordinator.
- Arriving at the customer’s site to determine the nature of the problem requiring repair.
- Determining if the parts required for the repair are on hand.
- Checking with the Service Coordinator before leaving the customer’s site to determine next customer scheduling.
- Working and adhering to the Company’s occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Completing paperwork that forms the basis for the Company’s service revenue billing system on a timely basis.
- Attending training as directed by supervisor.
- Install automotive lifts and other miscellaneous automotive equipment daily at customer locations throughout the Maritimes.
- Driving a tilt deck truck and completing daily driver logbooks.
- Prepare supply inventory for weekly jobs and ensure all required supplies are included in job package (with assistance from Parts Coordinator).
- Completing work orders and inspection reports, clearly and accurately.
- Attend factory training from manufacturers (when covid permits travel).
- Participate in bi-monthly company improvement meetings.
**Skill Requirements**:
- Previous automotive, hydraulic and/ or industrial mechanical experience considered strong assets
- Good analytical skills to diagnose mechanical problems with mínimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers in a varying range of situation
- Ability to manage time and adhere to a schedule
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Capable of travelling overnight and throughout NB, NS, and PEI
- Working frequent overtime and extended days
- Physically demanding - capable of standing and kneeling for extended periods
- Able to work well with others as part of a team
- Updated and suitable drivers abstract and valid driver’s license
