**Job Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Coordinate the needs of multiple departments.**Managematerial movement throughout the production process, including prep, inventory and organization of materials needed.
- **Resource management.**Coordinate the use of various yard and facility equipment - overhead cranes and rigging equipment, tow motors, forklifts and manual material handling equipment. Help out in other areas during downtime such as paint prep, inventory and fabrication.
- **Safety and Compliance**. Enforce safety regulations, ensure all operators of equipment are trained, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Consult with the JHSC with issues or concerns.
- **Yard Operations Management.**Oversee the daily operation of the yard, including workflow and maintenance. Consult daily with the Production Manager as to loading/freight needs, asset movement and schedules. Operate all material handling and rigging equipment safely and carefully.
- **Reporting and Communication**. Maintain effective communication with other departments and report to leaders on yard performance. Communicate with drivers to ensure our product is protected when strapping/chaining loads.
- **Maintenance.**Work along side the maintenance manager to ensure all equipment is maintained and is in good working order. Assist in annual inspection process and have knowledge of LOTO procedures..
- **Training and Development.**Collaborate with team members and JHSC toensure all equipment operators are trained and knowledgeable with safety concerns. May be involved with direct training of new employees.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Organization**. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage resources effectively, and maintain a well run yard. Able to coordinate the needs of various departments to meet deadlines and stay on schedule. Experience in warehouse management would be an asset.
- **Communication**. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with co-workers, leaders and drivers.
- **Problem Solving and Multi Tasking.**Ability to identify and remediate issues related to safety, operations, schedules and loading/strapping glitches. Rise to the challenge of juggling multiple tasks at one time during busy periods.
- **Technical Skills.** Excellent attention to detail and a passion for safety is paramount. Mandatory experience with overhead cranes and rigging, forklifts, freight strapping, container loading and tow motor use.
- **Physical Stamina**. Yard work can be physically demanding and requires work inside and outside in all weather conditions. Good physical fitness, the ability to lift heavy objects (75 lbs and more), and the willingness to work in all temperatures are a must.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
