**Job Overview**

SMS Security is a mid-sized security systems company providing guard services and technical system support to commercial and condominium buildings in Toronto. We are seeking an Account Manager to join our growing Guard Services team. As an Account Manager, you will act as a communication liaison between our clients, security guards and management. If problem solving enthuses you; if you have excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude, then this is the role for you.

**Position summary**

In the role of Account Manager you will manage a portfolio of condominium buildings in which we provide guard services. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate with those clients about ongoing operations and oversee the deliverables of our security team to ensure contract requirements are met. The Account Manager must thrive in a fast paced environment with many deliverables and develop excellent working relationships with the security guards and our clients. This role reports to the Director of Client Services.
- 3-5 years of experience in the security industry is preferred.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Lead and support the Security Supervisors and Security Guards to ensure exceptional service
- Develop, foster, and maintain a customer service focused relationship with our clients
- Oversee training of staff to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and procedures
- Mentor and develop the skills and abilities of the Security Supervisors
- Analyze and evaluate security operations to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
- Create budgets as per the requirements of clients.
- Respond to customer and guard complaints 24/7
- Provide weekly performance reports to senior management
- Other duties as assigned.

**Must have**:

- Able to deal with emergency situations as needed.
- Valid clean G License and a reliable vehicle to attend site meetings when necessary.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills and a knack for managing conflicts
- Excels in a team environment, but can also work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective decision-making, crisis resolution and risk management abilities.
