Synergy Protection Group Inc is seeking a dedicated and reliable _**Security Shift Supervisor **_to join our team at our esteemed site at Peel Region Police property. As a security professional at our organization, you'll play a crucial role in upholding the safety and security of our officers, staff, and visitors in Mississauga, Ontario.
**Job Title**: Shift Security Supervisor
**Location**: Peel Regional Police Site, Mississauga
**Employment Type**: Full-Time
**Shift**: Shift (Nights) 7pm to 7am
**Pay Rate**: $22.00/hr

**JOB SUMMARY - What will you do?**
Under general supervision of and reporting to the Site Supervisor, the security Shift Supervisor will be responsible for managing contract operations, a team of security guards, mobile as well as overseeing the day-to-day activities to ensure compliance.
**Specific Duties**
- Assist with coordinating and scheduling work shifts for permanent and any ad hoc security guards
- Perform quality assurance for all Security Guards to ensure conformance with PSISA standards such as presence of a valid license and proper uniform requirements.
- Orient all security guards working at PRP sites
- Mentor, motivate, coach and train all new and existing security guards
- Instill and reinforce critical values and practices in guards
- Direct and oversee all aspects of shift operations
- Maintain log of each shift activities
- Complete special reports as required
- Remain calm, follow procedure, support and direct the work of others during a crisis
- Assist security guards in resolving administrative issues where necessary
- Act on behalf of the Synergy’s management/Human Resources Teams to provide progressive discipline to security guards
- Provide support and assistance to staff and/or customers in any situations involving security incidents, violence, or disruption to ensure safety and protection of staff, customers, the public and property
- Be responsible for duty of care for criminal investigations and for supporting police investigations in whatever manner required
- Performing other related duties as assigned
**EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE - What you will bring?**
- Hold a valid **Ontario Security Guard license** under and compliant with PSISA
- Valid a valid **“G” Class Driver’s license** with clean abstract
- Completion of a **secondary school education (Diploma or Degree in any program) or equivalent and have a minimum of five (5) years' security experience working for a provincially licensed security service.**:
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of supervisory functions and methods
- Proven supervisory/leadership skills
- Possess excellent human relations/motivation skills
- Possess an understanding and appreciation of the philosophy and practice of public service to people of different identities
- Demonstrate fairness, respect, and equity in the treatment of all individuals. Be sensitive to individual needs, differences, and experiences
- Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, codes and legislation including the Criminal Code, the Trespass to Property Act, the Fire Code and WHMIS
- Ability to react to and resolve emergency and crisis situations in a proper manner
- Be able to both, physically and mentally, to fulfill the duties and requirements of the assigned work
- Be able to hear conversation at a distance of 20 feet away
- Be able to operate a smart phone/radio communication device
- Demonstrated ability in preparing and maintaining clear, concise, and legible security reports and detailed records
- Highly developed interpersonal and customer-service skills, including conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision making, situational assessment and communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
