We are seeking a Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of multi-family apartment buildings in Montreal. The Property Manager will ensure all property and lease management policies, procedures, and operations are conducted effectively. This person will be directly responsible for effectively managing these buildings while maintaining an excellent relationship with its residents and staff. The successful individual will have a strong desire for creating extraordinary experiences of home and community while exceeding resident satisfaction.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Address tenant concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Perform regular property and unit inspections, addressing deficiencies promptly
- Organize move-in/out inspections
- Negotiate and manage service contracts
- Issue legal forms and notices, representation at Landlord and Tenant Board hearings
- Ensure all building rules and regulations are respected.
- Develop and maintain preventative and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Oversee maintenance activities such as elevators, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, fire protection systems, pool equipment, etc.
- Meet all provincial/federal/municipal legislation and standards, including with respect to employment standards, human rights, employment equity, health and safety.
- Manage maintenance technicians and onsite personnel
- Provide timely and meticulous reports regarding any operational issues.
- Ability to respond to daytime and after-hour emergencies
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- A minimum of 3 years of similar experience in related field.
- Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of real estate management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Strong verbal and written communication and people skills, including a proven ability to build relationships
- Excellent accounting and business management skills;
- Excellent at planning and organizing
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of building standards and requirements coupled with sound technical knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Resourceful, able to confidently make decisions
- High attention to detail, able to effectively manage competing tasks
- Ability to maintain focus in a constantly changing environment
- Strong understanding of building systems
- Vehicle and Valid Class 5 driver's license
**Salary**: From $75,000.00 per year

- Montréal, QC: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
