We are part of the OK TIRE & TruckPro network that has more than 360 stores coast to coast. We operate three facilities in Etobicoke including a state of the art, bright, clean 14 Bay truck repair centre.

**We are currently seeking a Truck Service Technician Apprentice.**

**Position Overview**:
The Apprentice Mechanic/ Tire technician is responsible for a variety of duties which includes supporting the Licensed Mechanics in assisting with truck repairs/maintenance. As part of our team you will be required to complete a variety of tasks that are specific to your position as well as assist others when required.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**Requirements**:
**Truck Mechanic Skills**:

- **Repair/Maintenance**_
- Perform general truck maintenance repairs including: oil changes, steering and suspension, alignment, fluid flushes, filter replacements, complete visual inspections with guidance for the following: front-end, diagnostics, tune-ups and brake system.
- Review all repairs with Shop Manager/Owner or Head Mechanic prior to executing repairs
- Notify Shop Manager/Owner or Head Mechanic if any unforeseen issues arise
- Assist other team members with repairs/maintenance as required
- Complete repair orders in database including electronic documents and inspection forms
- Search supplier electronic databases to properly identify required parts

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Education**:

- Currently enrolled in a 310T apprenticeship program, or experienced shop helper ready to enrol into a 310T apprenticeship program.

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**:

- Fast-paced environment; Hand-eye co-ordination.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, valid driver's license.
