**Job Description**:

- We require the help of an experienced _**_Driver Safety and Compliance Specialis_**_t that is dedicated to supporting this role. Here are the responsibilities:_
- Ensure compliance with road safety and compliance regulations - in both Canada and the US; for drivers, vehicles and transportation.
- Perform on Road and In-Vehicle Observation Based Analysis of Driver’s performance and make recommendations on remedial action to be taken.
- Manages follow-ups relevant to enforcement action and legislative non-compliance.
- Manages tracking of Hours of Service and pre-travel inspection to ensure compliance with both Canadian and US legislation.
- Conduct in-class & in-truck training with new and current drivers.
- Responsible for all sign offs on all new drivers after training complete.
- Performs experience, skill-based assessments, defensive driving skills and road tests for all potential drivers as well as current drivers.
- Analyzes and reports on all road and property damage accidents as well as all incidents that include but are not limited to violations, complaints, and on and off-road incidents.
- Monitor and review Electronic Logging Device (ELDs) compliance and accuracy. Make corrective action recommendations.
- Involvement in Emergency Response for On-road accidents and spill response
- Conduct Transportation Compliance audits of required documentation, policies and files.
- Routine reporting on stats like driver incidents, roadside inspections etc.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have knowledge of federal and provincial legislation / regulations in both Canada and the US
- Experience with CVOR, NSC and DOT compliance
- Previous experience with Hazmat (TDG/WHMIS/CFA certification)
- Experience with size and weight compliance measures in both Canada and the US.
- Current or previous Class AZ or DZ license preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with the operation of Roll-off; Lugger and End-Dump type transportation equipment would be an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years as a trainer.
- Developed teaching and mentoring skills.

**HEALTH AND SAFETY**
- Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss’ incidents to management

**HOURS OF WORK**
- Permanent full-time position
- 44 hours per week, able to work extended hours/weekends when deemed necessary
