Virtual Reality Game Master

_Virtual Galaxies is free roaming virtual reality entertainment facility offering the most premium VR experiences available anywhere in the world. We are looking for Game Masters and Service Technicians. Service Technicians will also be Game Masters, but with the added responsibility of servicing the equipment._
- Working at Virtual Galaxies will require flexibility and availability on weekends and holidays, with the latest shifts ending at 11PM._

**THE GAME MASTER ROLE**

Game Masters are crucial to the operations of the site. They need to safely guide customers through the experience with great energy and professionalism. The Game Master will conduct player safety briefings and monitor game sessions. The Game Master's priority is to ensure player safety and deliver **high-end customer service**.

**The Game Master must have the following qualities**:

- Ability to manage excited customers.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations.
- Actively and quickly resolve potential issues whilst keeping customers engaged.
- Strong and engaging oral presentation skills.
- Experience working with small and large teams.
- Taking accountability for their work.
- A passion for VR, gaming, and technology.

All team members must be reliable, punctual and well-presented with the ability to prioritize tasks. Team chemistry is a big factor in the success of the team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Game Master**
- Customer greeting, Sign-in, Donning, and Doffing.
- Presenting the Safety Briefing to customers before their session.
- Managing in-game sessions and ensuring player safety.
- Identifying, troubleshooting and reporting technical issues.
- General maintenance of the equipment.
- Supporting the Operations Manager.
- Selling merchandise.

**Runner**

A Game Master will also carry out **Runner** duties during a shift. When a Game Master becomes the **Runner** they will support the current Game Master by:

- Organizing the Controllers before a session.
- Assisting in the Transition of sessions.
- Assisting with in-game Issues.
- Cleaning Equipment.
- Charging Batteries.

**THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN ROLE**

Service Technicians are essential to the maintenance of hardware within a site. They need to service and maintain all the hardware with care and efficiency. The Service Technician will work closely with the Operations Manager and Zero Latency Support to resolve and troubleshoot issues. Problem-solving skills and patience are a must.

**The Service Technician must have the following qualities**:

- Proficient technical ability in computers.
- Ability to identify problems and offer solutions.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Experience with hand tools.
- Experience working with small and large teams.
- Taking accountability for their work.
- A passion for VR, gaming, and technology.

All team members must be reliable, punctual and well-presented with the ability to prioritize tasks. Team chemistry is a big factor in the success of the team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Managing all Zero Latency hardware.
- Servicing and Maintenance of Backpacks, Controllers, Chargers & Batteries and the Tracking System.
- Troubleshooting and testing.
- Documenting and reporting issues.
- Communicating with the Operations Manager.
- Communicating with Zero Latency Support.

**ADDITIONAL INFO**

Any experience in theatrical performances or improv is a plus.

All employees will have the opportunity for advancement to a full-time management position.

**Salary**: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
