Field Service Technician

Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives in physical work, enjoys being outdoors, and takes pride in building something that lasts? Horst Systems is hiring a fulltime permanent **Field Service Technician** to help construct and maintain custom grain systems across Ontario.

In this role, you’ll travel with small crew based out of Elmira, installing and servicing grain handling equipment with a strong focus on safety, quality, and meeting project schedules. You’ll take on a variety of tasks—from maintenance and repairs to equipment installation and working at heights—while gaining experience across multiple construction trades.

This hands-on position is part of a 2-person crew based out of Elmira. This is a full-time permanent position, working approximately 50 hours per week on a straight day shift.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Regular travel around Ontario with your maintenance crew; some overnight stays required
- Follow instruction as per Crew Leader and Project Manager, adhering to project specifications
- Perform maintenance and repairs on grain handling facilities
- Assist installations crews with grain handling equipment as required.
- Work at heights of up to 50 meters
- Participate in training for safe work practices, use of equipment, tools and job techniques
- Contribute to the team with a positive attitude and continue to develop a great working culture, with an emphasis on health and safety

- Are willing to learn, take initiative, and work hard as part of a close-knit team.
- Feel confident working at heights and comfortable using fall protection when required.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
