Production Manager

As the Production Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that your teams, across 3 shifts, are performing at a level that supports achieving and improving business results. Working within our Contract Manufacturing (CM) business unit, you will report to the Plant Manager. As the Production Manager you are an effective leader who will deliver on the following expectations:
1. Creating a safe workplace; where safety processes are followed relentlessly.
2. Ensuring quality products; creating a quality culture where GMP and QA activities are fundamental.
3. Creating an engaged workforce; by upskilling and building the leadership capability of your Supervisors and associates.
4. Continuously improve capacity, schedule attainment waste and cost; using a structured continuous improvement approach.
5. Deliver business results; using manufacturing management fundamentals.
**MORE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
- Role modelling; implement established Safety and Quality policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Provide leadership and engage your team members in achieving site goals.
- Lead continuous improvement across all areas through development and implementation of a structured approach.
- Collaborate with your counterparts to facilitate culture change management, including adopting Lean, new ways of working, new equipment and processes.
- Develop your team by coaching, training and holding individuals accountable.
- Ensure proper integration of Dynamics 365 ERP in department and utilize system to manage efficient transactions and processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, Warehouse, Quality, PD, Maintenance, S&OP, Engineering and Sanitation.
**MUST HAVES**:
- Post-secondary education in a related field such as Science, Engineering, Business or another relevant field
- A minimum of 4 years of manager-level experience within a food manufacturing environment
- Lean certification or a minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Organized and time management skills
- Effective and open communicator, both verbal and written
- Experienced decision-maker, problem solver
