A kind, active, and motivated man in his early 30s who lives in Whitby is looking to engage with an interactive, easy going support worker who can spend time with them exploring the community and pursing valuable roles and interests.

This position would be best suited for a person who is looking for flexible and reliable casual work hours. In this role, you will support this person by spending time with him two times a week going out in the community (5 hours a week total with potential to increase hours).

You will work within an ethical practice framework while embracing the principles of inclusion and strive to create an environment that encourages good community connection and fulfilling a meaningful life. If you believe you are a self-starter that is caring and enjoys connecting with people, this could be the role for you The specific hours and days worked can be scheduled in advance by mutual agreement.

Key Requirements:
1. Must have valid G Driver’s class license and have own vehicle for transportation to and from activities

2. Completion of Vulnerable Sector Police check

3. Committed to respectful and strength based, person-centred approaches

4. Committed to holistic health, wellness, and fitness

5. Person centered-have a good understanding of community resources and events in the Durham Region

Hourly Rate:

- $21/hr
