**Job Title: Service Center Customer Service Representative**

**Reports to: Service Center Supervisor / Western Logistics Manager**

**Department: Sample Logistics**

**Location: Saskatoon, SK**

**Full Time**

**Basic Purpose**:
Sample receipt, preparation of supplies and shipping related duties for all clients in support of the Sample Logistics Team. This position also includes administrative functions.

**Key Accountability/Responsibilities**:

- Greet all clients in a friendly, positive manner
- Receive all external client samples
- Repack samples and arrange for shipments of all samples to the fixed labs.
- Tracking shipments and escalating and investigating when issues arise
- Coordinate with external providers such as courier services and hot-shots when required
- Ensure proper daily communication of sample shipments to the fixed labs
- Prepare bottle orders requests and coordinate delivery of bottle orders
- Recognize routine and non-routine problems and escalate to the Supervisor
- Ensure supply inventories are maintained
- Maintain working area in a clean, safe and an organized manner
- Ensure that all client requests are dealt with in a timely manner and escalated when needed
- Proactively ensure overall satisfaction of regional client base including communication to customer service and supervisor as appropriate
- Work closely with outside sales staff to grow Bureau Veritas’s market share with existing and new clients
- Monitor/Calibrate the temperatures of fridges, thermometers and temperature guns
- Adhere to Bureau Veritas’ quality systems QA/QC, SOPs and external accreditation requirements.
- Adhere to Bureau Veritas’ safety policies.
- On call responsibilities may be required based on location
- All other responsibilities as assigned

**Skills and Knowledge**:

- High School Diploma
- Experience in a laboratory environment is considered an asset
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments
- Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required

**Working Conditions**:

- High level of work production in fast-paced lab environment
- Flexible working hours, overtime and shift work, on call duties in some locations
- Changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines
- Some lifting and carrying (up to 40 lbs) and may involve long periods of standing
- Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate equipment

The salary range for this role is $17-$18

Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
