Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
- Lead financial planning for real estate development projects and property management operations.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and manage risk effectively.

Tax Strategy and Compliance
- Liaise with tax advisors to implement and monitor tax strategies.
- Ensure compliance with income tax, HST, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee preparation and submission of accurate tax filings.
- Coordinate with external advisors to align processes and optimize tax efficiencies.

Financial Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive profitability.
- Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and financing strategies.
- Supervise financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Assurance and Process Implementation
- Coordinate with assurance advisors for audits and annual reporting.
- Implement and oversee internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the accounting team follows processes and guidelines provided by external advisors.

Operational Oversight
- Lead and manage the finance and accounting team.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Collaborate with property management teams to streamline financial operations.

Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market fluctuations and regulatory changes.
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, and stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: CPA designation required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
- Experience:

- Minimum 10 years of senior financial leadership, ideally in real estate or property management.
- Demonstrated experience with tax strategy, assurance, and compliance.
- Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, HST, and real estate finance.
- Proficiency in financial software and property management systems.

Pay: $145,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
