- Contributing to and supporting implementation of communications and marketing strategies:

- Creating, formatting, proofreading, editing and distributing the Association’s communications materials including eblasts, news releases, articles, briefs, speeches, newsletters, presentation materials, website and social media content, video content
- Coordinating and updating content on the Association’s website
- Working with external vendors to coordinate design and issuance of promotional materials for Association programs and services
- Identifying and recommending improvements regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of the Association’s communications and marketing activities
- Working with the Manager, Communications and Marketing, assisting in the coordination of the Association’s communications calendar and annual outreach initiatives
- Collecting and reviewing communications and marketing metrics and social analytics for compiling related communications and marketing reports
- Coordinating and executing communications and marketing deliverables for the Association’s exhibitor and sponsor programs including pre-event communications and administration, on-site trade show administration, creating post-event fulfillment reports
- Coordinating and proofreading content for the Ontario Municipal Directory and AMCTO Municipal Monitor publication
- Responding to member inquiries regarding job broadcast services and the Ontario Municipal Directory;
- Post-secondary education in communications, marketing or a related discipline supplemented by public relations and/or customer service training
- Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a communications role either in a creative agency, Association or non-profit setting
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Experience in the following: communications and marketing content creation and development, graphic design, website and social media management
- Experience with editing videos for the web and social media
- Experience with using design and video software or tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
- Experience with website CMS and CRM member databases (e.g., Drupal, iMis)
- Familiarity with CP style
- Must be a team player who enjoys collaborating, creative thinking and working across multiple programs and projects at a time
- Must be a self-starter with a desire to learn about the Association’s key audiences and stakeholders
- Must demonstrate a high degree of adaptability, problem solving and professionalism

Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:

- Experience with conference/tradeshow coordination
- Experience working with external vendors and sponsors
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Ads Manager, and paid social
- Experience with project management tools and software

The starting salary for this position is within the range of $**59,000 - $74,000** depending upon skills and experience. Pension (OMERS) and benefits are also part of the competitive employment package. AMCTO has a hybrid environment with a mix of remote and in-office work.
