**The Role**:
Reporting into our Director, Supply Chain, the successful incumbent will be responsible for coordinating procurement activities for all departments, including but not limited to bid requests, PO issuance, logistics coordination and supplier management. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with the Materials Coordinators to arrange transportation and delivery for all inbound purchase orders and outbound purchase returns. They will also work closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure all purchased product entering the facility is fully approved based on standard operating procedures.
**The Tasks**:
- Assist the Product Development team in researching new and innovative products.
- Assist in preparation of cost benefit analysis reporting as required.
- Collect item and vendor master data information for facility audits and requests for information in regard to quality and strategic requirements.
- Maintain relationships with vendors with a constant aim to improve Dynaleo’s purchasing power and strategic ventures.
- Onboard new suppliers to improve competitive bidding and mitigate supply constraints.
- Completion of inquiry/bid phases, including completion of Material Requisition and Request for Quotation (RFQ), and submittal of purchase recommendations and request for expenditure in accordance with strategic requirements. Work with vendors to negotiate the best price and service levels possible.
- Responsible for purchase order input and issuance for procurement of raw materials, packaging, supplies, general supplies, spare parts, and special projects.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure prompt payment of invoices and reconciliation with purchase orders in ERP system.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation for all purchase orders and purchase returns.
- Process returns following established procedures.
- Investigate and/or constructively escalate and recover from backorder, damage or delay issues and communicate outcomes to impacted stakeholders. Assist materials team in completion, tracking and resolution of OS&Ds.
- Maintain and deliver reporting requirements per department, per material type, per internal KPI requirement, and per vendor KPI requirement.
**The Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Minimum of two-years procurement experience.
- Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in food production or cannabis industry considered an asset.
- Additional supply chain experience (logistics, inventory management) considered an asset.
