**Fitness Room Attendant**

Two (2) permanent part time position available (15 - 24 hours per week)

Salary Range: $ 18.70 - 19.70 per hour

Monday to Friday, Mornings and Evenings, some Saturdays

BGC London is looking for individuals with superior customer service experience, knowledgeable with fitness equipment, weight room safety policies and procedures, and proper exercise techniques.

Experienced in dealing with different age groups.

**Qualifications**
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and exchange appropriate information with staff, and guests.
- Exceptional customer service focus, and high level of verbal, written and listening skills
- Kinesiology or Fitness & Health promotion or Fitness background.
- Fitness certifications or willing to obtain such as Personal Training, Group Fitness, CanFitPro, SFIC(CCAA), CSEP or equivalent.
- Able to work with patrons of varying demographics
- Proven ability to be proactive and work without supervision
- Teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to embrace change
- Strong attendance record in previous roles.
- Professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for the duration of shifts as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the Weight room by maintaining cleanliness, and order, and implementing Policies and Procedures.
- Must possess superior customer service skills, enthusiasm and pride.
- Strong values in the areas of community and respect are essential and help us to achieve our vision of each day creating a positive and enjoyable experience.
- Member engagement, orientation sessions, create exercise plans for members
- Maintain records and submit reports and statistics.
- Lead group fitness classes for older population.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Current First Aid and CPR certification required
- Vulnerable Sector Police clearance, under BGC London required
