A Signal 88 Community Based Guard (CBS) is a Guard that has completed all appropriate online and physical training modules, passed background checks and is ready for duty in a field or dress uniform as defined under Uniform in the Signal 88 Standard Operating Procedures.

Basic duties include protecting a site in a fixed location. All duties listed below are minimum requirements - additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.

Key Responsibilities
- 1 year experience loss prevention with references
- 1 year experience use of force with accredited certifications (card or certificate)
- 3 work related / supervisor + references
- 2 personal references
- Preference will be given to Law Enforcement Students
- Must complete pre-employment testing in report writing and situational awareness scenarios.
- Identify, monitor and report any security threats on-site through the chain of command;
- Enforce regulations of the establishment to maintain order and resolve conflicts;
- Ensure that establishment safety and emergency procedures are followed;
- Follow radio and emergency telephone procedures and site protocols; Write daily DOR shift reports and incident reports.
- Key requirements: Minimum 6 months - 1 year of security experience;
- Minimum 1 year of retail security
- Must hold a valid security guard license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Correctional Services;

**Salary**: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
**Experience**:

- Security: 2 years (preferred)
- Supervisor: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (preferred)
- Use of Force Certification (preferred)
