An exciting opportunity to join a leader in heavy equipment sales and distribution in Canada as a **Heavy Equipment Technician**

**The Role**

As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will diagnose mechanical problems and repairs to equipment, and perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on equipment.

**You Will**
- Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools
- Manage work/repair orders (paper and digital) for each job in a timely manner.
- Have basic computer skills, with the ability to refer to manuals for spare parts and diagnostics
- Operate heavy duty service vehicles
- Be willing and able to work both indoors and outdoors

**You Have**
- 3+ years’ experience in the repair/maintenance of heavy-duty equipment
- A Heavy Equipment Mechanic license (421A / 310S / 310T / 310J / 425)
- Strong mechanical background knowledge with various engines and hydraulic systems
- A good understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Ability and willingness to work irregular shifts

**You Are**
- Exceptionally organized and able to deal calmly with high-pressure pressure situations
- A strong communicator with solid people skills

**Salary**: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

**Experience**:

- Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (required)
- Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (preferred)
- Preventative maintenance: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Heavy Equipment Mechanic License (preferred)
