Position Title: Service Writer/Dispatcher

Primary Function: Provides overall planning in the dispatching of technicians to customer locations for service calls. Process paperwork generated by service personnel, invoicing of customers, resolving minor disputes, filing, processing supplier invoices.

Experience: At least 2 years of successful technical experience in a similar industry.

Skills / Competencies:

- Works under minimum direction.
- Effectively gathers all information required to successfully field service technicians
- uses computer system to log calls from customers
- Applies basic numeric skills to accurately calculate pricing.
- uses the computer system to ensure that all contracted Periodic Maintenances are done in a timely fashion.
- Effectively evaluates technician’s description of service/parts problems
- Effectively troubleshoots and corrects system and process problems.
- Ensures that corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Minimizes customer complaints.
- Responds promptly and accurately to customer service call status inquiries.
- Exhibits a courteous and professional demeanor both in person and on the phone.
- Responds to customer inquiries quickly and in a professional and courteous manner.
- Has a sound understanding of the services offered and the industry
- Records quotation and work order information clearly and completely on the applicable forms or screens.
- Effectively compares quotations to orders and resolves differences.
- Enters accepted work orders into the NDS system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Completes work orders accurately and promptly.
- Completes work within expected periods of time.
- Has minimum absenteeism and is punctual.
- Completes records accurately and completely

**Salary**: $42,000.00-$48,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- New Dundee, ON N0B 2E0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
