**EXECUTIVE CHEF**
For upscale banquet hall in the GTA/Mississauga

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Ensure that quality culinary dishes are served on schedule
- Give prepared plates the “final touch”
- Approve all prepared food items that leave his or her kitchen
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Recruit and manage kitchen staff
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
- Administrative duties, including ordering supplies and reporting to the head of the establishment
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
- Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
- Rectify arising problems or complaints
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Proven working experience as a head chef at a banquet hall a must
- Preparing dishes for up to 600 guests
- European cuisine experience
- Excellent record of kitchen management
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Communication and leadership skills
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
