As a part time **Business Development Specialist **for Life At Home, your primary focus will be to create long lasting professional relationships with new prospective clients and/or other companies that will lead to a mutually beneficial business partnership.

**What you will bring to the table**:

- Participate in industry functions, tradeshows, and client events
- You will demonstrate a positive corporate attitude and act as a brand ambassador for Life At Home
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Primarily focused on sales activities within the community by making sales calls to referral sources and other resources
- A great communicator who can build valuable relationships and demonstrate strong active listening skills and time management
- Multi-tasker, extremely organized
- Ideally you are a natural “hunter” who enjoys looking for new opportunities
- Results driven, high energy, competitive
- Occasionally assisting with marketing initiatives including social media content

**Qualifications**:

- Healthcare experience _**preferred**_
- A proven track record of creating business partnerships
- 1-2 years of experience working in a business development role or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to drive to and from establishments on outreach days, you must have your own vehicle
- A clear vulnerable sector check

**You must live in Ottawa**

**What we will bring to the table**:

- This is a fully remote position; you’ll have the luxury of working from home when you’re not in the community.
- You’ll be provided a salary and commission based on performance (a commission structure will be discussed)
- Paid milage while doing outreach: 0.61/KM
- 1-1 training until you feel comfortable in your role

This position is part-time to start, full-time hours can be discussed based on performance.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $15,000.00 per year
