We are privileged to operate in 49 radio stations (and growing) broadcasting across 70+ transmitters located in three Provinces and the Northwest Territories. We are also connected to our communities with 37 MyTownNow websites.
Reporting to the General Manager, Sales and Promotion support will be responsible to assist the sales and creative teams in driving revenue and promoting the station's brand and events. You will play a vital role in enhancing our brand presence, engaging our audience, and fostering strong relationships with clients and partners.
**Key Responsibilities**:Duties will include, but not be limited to**:Sales Support**:
- Processing sales orders, ensuring accuracy of information, and coordinating with various departments to fulfill customer requests.
- Maintaining and updating the sales database or customer relationship management (CRM) system with relevant and accurate information.
- Compiling and generating sales reports, performance metrics, and sales forecasts for management and the sales team.
- Assisting in preparing sales quotations and proposals for potential customers.
- Identifying potential leads through market research, data analysis, or collaboration with the marketing team.
- Creating and organizing sales presentations, sales collateral, and marketing materials.
- Assisting sales representatives with administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Conducting research on competitors, market trends, and customer preferences to help the sales team develop effective sales strategies.
- Collaborating with management and liaising with other departments, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
**Promotions**:
- Help create, coordinate and execute station events, and remote broadcasts to increase brand awareness and listener interaction.
- Help manage and maintain the station's social media presence, engaging with listeners and promoting upcoming events and promotions.
- Create and manage promotional schedules, ensuring all activities are organized and executed on time.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for new promotions and partnerships.
- Handle prize fulfillment and winner communication for contests and giveaways, ensuring a positive experience for winners.
- Maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, and influencers to enhance promotional opportunities and community engagement.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Proven experience in radio promotions, event coordination, or marketing.
- Strong creativity and ability to come up with unique and engaging promotional ideas.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple promotions simultaneously.
- Proficient in using social media platforms and digital marketing tools for promotional purposes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, adapting quickly to changes and priorities.
- Knowledge of the radio industry, target demographics, and current music trends.
- Flexible schedule, as promotions may require work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
