1. Develop specifications for food ingredients, ensuring quantity inventories.

2. Assist with procuring food ingredients required for various kinds of margarines, shortenings and spreads.

3. Involved with analysis of fat bases and food ingredients.

4. Initiate and actively participate in Product development, through lap scale experiments and product trials in the plant.

5. Assist the Production Planner to sequence the products to be produced for the week while to minimizing losses, CIP and changeover time.

6. Responsible for efficient plant operation and minimizing oil losses, water, steam and chemical consumptions and packaging materials.

7. Collect data on all the losses including production time loss, equipment failure, changeovers, reduced speed due to malfunctioning of machines, availability of manpower and material losses.

8. Develop SOP relevant to each stage of operation in the margarine plant.

9. Coordinate with HR and ensure proper manpower is available for production.

10. Ensure that all the operational staff are trained to correctly adhere to the SOP and “Quality right the first time” throughout all process steps & packaging lines.

11. Maintain the systems to ensure that the hygiene and housekeeping is well maintained in the plant.

12. Develop a routine and periodic cleaning schedule for all equipment and the area by clearly defining the standards and methods.

13. Organise proper and effective CIP between changeovers of kosher perev, kosher dairy, kosher and non-kosher products.

14. Responsible for treating waste water and disposal to municipal sewage by meeting their standards.

15. Member of the Food Safety team. Participate in SQF program.

16. Safety systems will be implemented in the plant so as to prevent any accidents.

All the staff must be get trained on safety systems and procedures.

A basic qualification in Food Technology

Thorough knowledge on various types of Margarines/Shortenings

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
