**The Opportunity**
Light Equipment Operator (EOI)
Operates and is responsible for the following:
- Municipal Tractor with attachments
- Skid Steer Tractor with attachments
- Tool Cat Tractor with attachments
- Toro Mower
- Durapatcher
- Asphalt Compactor
- Signle Axle Plow Truck with Sand/Salt Spreader
- Single Axle Water Truck
- Tandem Axle Truck with box to haul snow, gravel, topsoil, branches and other materials (requires class III with Air Endorsement)
- Aerial Lift or Bucket Truck
35 feet extension)
- Other similar equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualification
- Valid Alberta Drivers License Class 5 (Class 3 with Air Brake Endorsement preferred)
- Ability to work on shifts that will supply 24/7 coverage
- 2 years experience operating equipment of similar size.

Responsibilities*
The main duties for this position include plowing snow on priority roadways with a team of graders and loaders maintaining safe passage of traffic.
Summer opportunity would be instrumental in the success of either our sweeping and gravel road program, Or on our asphalt paving program and pothole repair in the spring and summer.

You Bring*
- Valid Alberta Drivers License. (Class III with Air Endorsement)
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a Motor Grader, Street Sweeper, and Loader.
- Experience in all aspects of Sweeping Operations, Gravel Roads Operations and Snow Removal Operations.
- Ability to work shifts
Assets related to this position includes:

Knowledge of other Transportation Crews duties.
- Certification in First Aid and WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to become skilled at operating other equipment as required.
This position is based on a 40 hour work week. Safety footwear is required. Please note that smoking restrictions are in effect.

Light Equipment Operator $34.48 hour/ Heavy Equipment Operator $36.81 hour as per the Collective Agreement
