The NexSource Recreation Centre is a 155,000+ square foot multi-use recreation centre
located in the lakeside Town of Sylvan Lake. Our facility offers many amenities such as a
swimming pool, two regulation ice rinks, a five sheet curling rink, a running track and fitness
area, concession, full service viewing lounge, childrens play space, childminding services,
seniors centre and rental spaces. The NexSource Centre is also host to tourist services,
cultural and special events.

**NexSource Recreation Centre Receptionists - Multiple positions
**Part Time - Starting Wage - $18.32**

**Flexible Schedule Needed (including days evenings and weekends)
The Receptionist is responsible for providing administrative duties and superb customer service
at the main Reception (Check In and Visitor Information) desk at Town of Sylvan Lake’s
NexSource Centre.

**SUMMARY OF FUNCTION: **

Maintaining excellent customer service by providing knowledgeable information directly

to users of the facility and visitors to the community
Respond to Visitor Information inquiries by providing information and referrals regarding

town amenities, events, programs and services
Process customer payments, balance cash batches and prepare bank deposits
Assist residents with paid parking registration and payments
Maintain and prepare facility bookings including picnic shelters and parties
Administration and full knowledge of the Perfect Mind software system, Outlook, Office

Assist customers with Resident Parking
Provide administrative and clerical support for the Recreation, Culture and Tourism

Department
Serve as part of the emergency response team

**TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

Administrative/reception experience or post secondary administrative training preferred

Experience in a sports or recreational setting either working, coaching or relative

experience/knowledge is an asset
Standard First Aid and CPR and emergency response training is preferred
Tremendous customer service communication skills
Ability to work in fast paced, customer focused environment
Ability to handle difficult situations
Successful completion of an RCMP Based Criminal Record Check
