**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the use of prescribed medications or devices.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems, such as Epic.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
- Engage in sales of optical products, including glasses and contact lenses.
- Provide specialized care for pediatric and senior patients, ensuring their unique needs are met.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education opportunities.

**Skills**
- Proficient in medical terminology relevant to optometry.
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Experience or knowledge in pediatrics and senior care is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Sales skills related to optical products and services are a plus.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
