**The Opportunity**:
Chai Lifeline Canada is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our team and help ensure the organization runs smoothly while fostering a positive and supportive workplace.

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing HR-related functions within Chai Lifeline Canada. A key aspect of this role will be managing and coordinating the efforts of our HR consultant while handling the day-to-day needs of the organization. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with leadership and staff to maintain a culture aligned with Chai Lifeline Canada’s core values, ensure compliance with HR policies, and support employee well-being and growth.

**What you will do**:

- Manage & act as the primary point of contact for the HR consultant.
- Ensure alignment between the HR consultant’s work and the organization’s strategic goals.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables with the HR consultant.
- Communicate staff needs, policy updates, and organizational changes to the HR consultant as required.
- Serve as a resource for staff on HR-related matters, including policies, benefits, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with federal & provincial labour laws, workplace health and safety regulations, and other applicable standards.
- Oversee the implantation of HR policies and procedures, including onboarding & offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Develop and manage the annual HR budget in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Organize staff engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition programs to enhance morale and retention.
- Assist in creating and maintain job descriptions for all roles within the organization.
- Oversee employee development plans and training programs to promote skill-building and career growth.
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews and address performance related issues.
- Work with the leadership team to ensure consistent and fair performance management practices.
- Collaborate with the HR consultant to create strategies for employee growth and organizational development.

**How do I qualify?**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) years experience in a HR Manager role, for a total of eight (8) years experience in positions relative to Human Resources.
- Strong understanding of Canadian employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to identify, prioritize, and manage needs while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

**Probationary Period**:Three (3) Months
