Digital Copywriter (12-18 Month Maternity Leave Coverage Contract)

Role Summary

Eminence Organics is looking for a Digital Copywriter that combines a passion for skin care and a knowledge of digital best practices to deliver compelling and persuasive marketing copy for our digital channels, including our websites. In this role, you will work closely as an exceptional Team-member with all teams to engage both Spa Partners and Retail Customers with our brand and products through copy. You will be reporting directly to the Digital Content Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
Write compelling, strategic and persuasive copy for digital channels, especially our brand websites, taking into consideration SEO and the Customer Journey
Collaborate with designers to generate ideas and produce effective website copy aligned with the proposed design
Edit and proofread copy before final publishing
Write compelling ad copy for channels, working to optimize conversions
Ensure the adherence to Eminence Organics brand standards and brand integrity for all written content and copy
Copyedit, line edit and proofread as needed
Drive and maintain the blog content calendar using strategic planning based on the Customer Journey, search engine optimization, launches, campaigns and other tentpole events
Work closely with the Digital Creative Team Lead in aligning the blog with video and image content
Work closely with graphic designers to conceive and drive the creation of infographics that enhance and expand on blog content
Collaborate with the Growth Marketing & Analytics Specialist in conceptualizing and crafting highly searchable content
Manage and work closely with freelance writers for content creation, providing detailed briefs and editing as well as tracking budgets and paying invoices
Keep up to date with what’s trending in skincare and beauty industries, including the professional skin care industry

**Qualifications**:
College diploma or University degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related experience
Experience creating written online content - 2-3 year minimum
Experience updating and revising website content - 1-year minimum
A proven passion for skin care, wellness, and popular culture
Exceptional written and oral English skills, including excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional ability to copyedit, line edit and proofread using AP Style
Understanding of SEO is a requirement
Basic photoshop skills are required
Understanding of content management systems, preferably Drupal and WordPress
Writing or revising simple HTML is an asset
