**The Opportunity**:
L.J. Barton Mechanical Inc. is looking for a **full-time Construction Shop Coordinator **to join our growing team A valued contributor to the company, this position involves working independently and as part of a team, exercising judgment, initiative, organization, and multitasking.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Coordinate all tools and equipment in the shop, including tool repair and maintenance, tagging and organizing,
- and recommending replacements to old tools or purchasing tools that are in short supply
- Use our tool and equipment tracking system to manage tool inventory
- Accept material deliveries and manage returns; shipping and receiving at the shop
- Direct point of contact for Forepersons to fulfill tool and equipment needs on-site
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop to the highest standards
- Be committed to following L.J. Barton Mechanical Inc. Health & Safety standards

**What You Bring**:

- Experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of the materials, tools, and equipment required
- at various phases of a construction project
- Experience in inventory management; within a warehouse or logistics environment is an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Highly organized, detail oriented & self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills
- Capacity to coordinate multiple tasks through proven time management skills
- A positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset

**Salary**: $32.00-$42.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Construction: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
