Coastal Mountain Child & Youth Services Ltd, has been serving children, youth, and families in the Cowichan Valley for over 24 years. We have a CYC background and philosophy, our programs are trauma informed and we strive to achieve this with our children, youth and families. We are accredited by CARF Canada. We build our programs around our children, youth, families, and community. We work collaboratively within a wraparound approach through a Trauma Informed Lens with other community agencies. **Job description**

Coastal Mountain Child & Youth Services Ltd, is looking for a Causal Residential Child & Youth Workers in the Cowichan Valley. Position is working with high-risk children/youth in home environment. Role will be providing a treatment focus approach with emphasis on trauma informed practice. Starting Wage is $27.54 with a 3-month probation period.

Must be enrolled and/or have completed 2-year Child & Youth Care diploma or are enrolled at 3rd year Child & Youth Care BA or related field. Experience is preferred in the social service sector. Written and oral communication will be part of the daily expectations. The ability to work on your own as well as in a team setting in a very fast changing environment. The environment can be stressful. Staff need to be able to set boundaries and work within a multidisciplinary team within the community.
