Your Opportunity:
Key Responsibilities Contract Management Negotiates and develops terms and conditions of contracts in compliance with AHS policy and consistent with legislation. Creates business cases to validate multi-source contracts. Competitive Bid Coordination. Analyzes proposals and recommends contract awards for approval. Represents AHS in procurement contract negotiations for assigned large scale procurements/contracts. Develops and executes sourcing strategies to find, evaluate and engage suppliers of goods and services. Determines desired service levels, pricing and business terms for acquisition. Coordinates and facilitates multi-source competitive bidding processes including analysis of multiple proposals and vendor/ stakeholder negotiations. Analyzes proposals and recommends contract awards for approval. Information Management and Reporting Assesses market opportunities/threats and recommends plans to address. Analyzes and interprets complex data to support procurement strategies. Identifies improvements or resolutions to contract issues.
Description:
As a Procurement Specialist II, you will perform complex purchasing functions consistent with established AHS procurement policies, practices, laws, and trade agreements. You will be responsible for the acquisition of supplies, minor equipment, services or supporting functions within assigned work groups. You will perform the acquisition process primarily for purchases of a transactional nature which includes researching/collating information, preparation of requests for quotations, review of quotations, creation of purchase agreements, and issuance of purchase orders. Under the direction of the Manager, you will coordinate and monitor assigned team purchasing activities; acts as a source of knowledge by answering questions, providing technical advice, and assisting in the training of staff.
