We are a well-established Civil Construction company in the Comox Valley (Royston to Black Creek), seeking a Construction Labourer/Helper to join our team for a busy Fall season. This employee role offers $19-$24/hr; depending on experience, skills, and any relevant certifications or training.

Work Shifts: Weekly work hours will vary seasonally and with project workload (part-time some weeks to full-time some weeks); overtime is possible, and weekend work occasionally during large projects, weather changes, and tight project schedules.

About the Job

You’ll be working on diverse and interesting projects under the guidance & training of a Civil Engineering professional with 25 years of experience. Our scopes of work include:
✔ Heavy equipment operation (excavators, skid steers, boom lifts, and more)
✔ Concrete work (slabs, repairs, foundations)
✔ Framing, decking, pavilions, pergolas
✔ Landscaping, hardscaping, land clearing, fencing
✔ Retaining walls (rock, wood, concrete)
✔ Drainage (culverts, ditches, perimeter drains)

We need someone who:
Has construction experience, strong work ethic, good attendance record
Can execute work plans and follow direction well
Is physically fit and able to handle labor-intensive tasks
Has a reliable vehicle for transportation & must live in Comox Valley region
Has their own basic PPE and safety focused
Can operate various power tools
Is a non-smoker and comes to work fit for duty
Can provide references
** Absolutely no drugs or alcohol on-site, must come fit for work
