SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is assisting a major automotive OEM in hiring a** Safety Assurance Manager **to join our growing team in **Toronto, ON.**

This is a DIRECT hire opportunity, NOT a Contractual role.

**Job Description**:

- Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the product.
- Perform Safety analysis, review Design, RAM, V&V, T&C activities from a Safety perspective, and manage the Hazard Log.
- Delivering within scope, on time and on budget.
- Utilizing safety process in accordance with Company and Industry standards and best practices.
- Review safety issues and support root cause identification and mitigation measures.
- Organize and attend periodic Safety Reviews.
- Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors.
- Define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessor.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong background in Product Development or System Design microprocessor-based system for highly regulated industry (Rail, Defense, Nuclear or Space).
- Self-starter able to work independently with a sense of urgency and network effectively to gather data from different sources.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication.
- Self-motivated, detailed oriented ability to learn new techniques in a changing environment are desired.
- Knowledge of international standards: IEC, IEEE, AREMA, CENELEC, MIL-STD.
