Together, we are building better bakeries. **Position Overview**: The Procurement & Supplier Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading Portofino Bakery’s procurement activities for both direct materials and third-party products. This role oversees supplier relationships, inventory management, and cost-saving initiatives while ensuring alignment with operational and strategic priorities. As the primary point of contact for all direct material and third-party suppliers, this role provides leadership, guidance, and direction to optimize supply chain performance and support business growth. **The Bread and Butter of the Position**: **Direct Materials** - Lead and manage all supplier relationships for direct materials, including contracts, communication, and performance oversight. - Oversee inventory replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels and uninterrupted production. - Monitor supplier performance, address delays or issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. - Identify and onboard new suppliers that meet quality, cost, and service standards. - Drive cost-savings initiatives, including supplier negotiations and process efficiencies. - Provide senior management with regular updates on forecasted demand, pricing changes, risks, and opportunities. **3rd-Party Distribution** - Act as the primary liaison for all third-party supplier relationships. - Manage inventory replenishment to meet customer demand and service levels. - Coordinate new supplier and item launches with planning, operations, sales, and finance teams. - Support product transitions, discontinuations, and supplier onboarding. **Qualifications** - 3-5 years of procurement, supply chain, or vendor management experience (food manufacturing preferred). - Proven experience leading procurement initiatives and managing supplier teams. - Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, manage inventory, and understand cost drivers. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail. - Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel required). **Core Competencies** **Ensures Accountability**:Takes ownership for supplier performance, inventory accuracy, and deliverables; follows through consistently. - **Collaborates**: Works effectively with planning, operations, sales, and finance to support business priorities and product launches. - **Manages Complexity**:Analyzes complex supplier issues, pricing changes, and inventory patterns to make sound decisions. - **Plans and Aligns**: Organizes work, priorities, and timelines to maintain continuity of supply and meet production needs. - **Decision Quality**: Uses data, forecasting, and supplier insights to make timely, high-quality procurement decisions. - **Optimizes Work Processes**: Identifies ways to streamline purchasing procedures, replenishment processes, and supplier workflows. - **Communicates Effectively**: Clearly communicates expectations, risks, opportunities, and updates to suppliers and internal teams. - **Drives Results**:Consistently delivers on cost savings, supply reliability, and vendor performance expectations. - **Builds Networks**: Develops strong supplier relationships and leverages external connections to identify new sourcing opportunities. - **Negotiates**: Leads supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, service levels, and contract terms. **The Details You'll Loave**: - Salary $80,000-$95,000 depending on experience - Healthy and frequent raises. - Annual bonuses based on performance metrics. - Medical & Dental benefits including Life Insurance after 3 months. - Access to complementary "staff bread" to take home. - Opportunity for growth - Paid Training - Comprehensive Wellness and Leadership Development Program **Our Values and What We Expect From Our Breadhead Team Members**: - **Integrity**_ We keep it real in how we treat our customers, our teams, and our products. - **Quality**_ We stand for uncompromising quality in everything we do. - **Growth**_ We commit to growing ourselves, our teams, and our reach. - **Community**_ We give back to the communities that support us. **Inclusivity Statement**: At Portofino
