Shuttle Driver

As a member of the Guest Services Department the primary responsibility of the Shuttle Driver / Porter (Bell) Person is to provide our hotel guests with a positive first and last impression, exceptional service at every interaction, and creating memorable experiences by making emotional connections with all guests.

**Job Duties/responsibilities**
- Transport hotel guests in the company vehicle in a safe and comfortable manner. Following all rules and regulations including but not limited to the Highway Traffic Act.
- Be the first and last point of contact when picking or dropping off guests
- Greet all guests with a genuine smile, in a warm and courteous manner
- Welcome guests into the hotel and provide assistance with luggage
- Provide an overview of hotel amenities and services, deal with guest inquiries and provide information about hotel, city attractions or events
- Responsible for the general tidiness of the lobby and lobby entrance.
- Maintain general cleanliness of the entrance area including sweeping up debris and keeping the area free of snow and ice.
- Maintain cleanliness inside and out Courtesy Vehicle along with performing of tire pressure check, windshield washer and oil levels.
- Show guests to their rooms and be able to explain where things are in the room i.e., switches for lamps, controls for heating and air conditioning, television channels, fire exits etc.
- Luggage storage, lost and found procedures, security policies, dry cleaning deliveries to guests
- Assist the Health & Fitness area by verifying memberships and opening, as well as assist with laundry & supplies restocking, and other similar duties.
- Maintain a presence in the Lobby when not delivering luggage to guest rooms, offering assistance to Guests, under the direction of the Guest Services Representative
- Ensure the effective adherence to hotel standards and respond attentively, efficiently a to all requests
- Encourage guests to provide feedback from their experiences
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with fellow team members in other areas of the Hotel
- Following and adhering to policies surrounding guest privacy and security.
- Report unsafe acts or hazardous conditions, report and complete all workplace accidents or near misses’ documentation, and participate in the fire safety plan
- Cooperate with all supporting departments to ensure a memorable experience for our guests
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager

**Requirements**:
Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and early mornings. Hours of work will be scheduled based on business volumes/operational demands and may vary
- Available to work shifts starting at 3:30 am - 11:30 a.m. weekdays, weekends and/or holidays as required
- Clean driving abstract with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with school bus or taxi driving would be consider an asset
- Class 'G' Driver's License required
- Must be friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with a professional appearance
- A self-motivated individual with the ability to problem solve
- Complete tasks with mínimal supervision in a timely manner
- Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well in a busy and demanding environment.
- Experience working in a customer service role is an asset. Demonstrated exceptional guest and customer service and communication skills
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
- Proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Moderate level of physical & mental effort
- Constant standing and walking for prolonged periods throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs

**FT position with benefits and wage from $19.00 per hour depending on experience.**

**Experience**:

- Bus or taxi Drivers: 5 years (preferred)
