Levitt-Safety in Lachine has an exciting opportunity for a Service Technician (Autonomous Respiratory Protection Devices - SCBA & Fall Protection).

In this bilingual role, you will provide customers with the highest quality service, repair and maintenance for SCBAs, breathing air compressors, fall protection equipment and other safety and security equipment as required.

This position will be based out of our Lachine branch, but will also involve travel to client sites.

SKILLS
- Must be bilingual in French and English
- Strong mechanical aptitude is required, as well as experience or training in the use of compressors and/or the inspection, repair and cleaning of self-contained breathing apparatus and fall harnesses.
- Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude, with experience in the use of power and hand tools.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work with technology and mobile devices
- Must be able to work with limited supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted, combined with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide customer service as a technician to all existing and new customers
- Inspection, maintenance and servicing of self-contained breathing apparatus, breathing air compressors, fall protection equipment and other life and safety equipment. Provide shop service and mobile unit service of works at customer sites
- Leak test of respiratory masks in the workshop or on the customer site
- Work in conjunction with the local service coordinator to schedule service work and schedule the ordering of required parts.
- Maintain vehicle inventory and all tools that are required.
- Collaborate with customers to expand our reach for all applicable service capabilities and develop effective and mutually beneficial work plans/schedules.
- Complete all S&S documents applicable to company policies and procedures
- Completed in a timely manner the work order, certificate and the documents that are required.
- Ensure your manufacturer certifications are up to date.
- Be an ongoing contributor to the development of JHAs (Job Hazard Assessments) and safe work procedures for this position.
- Perform regular after-hours work and on-call emergency call work as required.
