**Job Description** Mission**
In order to continue the growth and success of CIMA+, we are looking for a technician in a natural environment to carry out various projects.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Carry out inventories and characterization of the natural environment (wet and terrestrial environments)
- Carry out wildlife inventories (ichthyofauna, herpetofauna, avifauna, etc.)
- Conducts floristic inventories (species at risk, invasive exotic species, etc.)
- Participate in the preparation of characterization reports and authorization requests
- Carry out surveys using GPS, level or other measuring equipment;
- Collect, compile, analyze the results of research information available from various sites and databases (Land register, Business register, Contaminated soil register, municipality, CPTAQ, MELCC and MERN, etc.) to prepare situation reports and/or complete various administrative forms
- Compile data or results collected in the field and write reports, memos and other opinions and carry out processing, analysis and interpretation
- Assist project managers with general office tasks such as preparing requests to be sent to various organizations (Municipalities, MELCC, CPTAQ, MERN, etc.)

**Qualifications**
- Relevant Diplomas: College study in bio-ecology, wildlife, ecology or other related field or bachelor's degree in biology or environment
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in plant identification, characterization and delimitation of wetlands as well as in wildlife inventories (avifauna, ichthyofauna and herpetofauna)
- Excellent knowledge of protocols and inventory guides
- Basic computer skills, i.e. for precision GPS, QGIS, DNRGPS, Google Earth, Office Suite
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written
- Experience in a consulting engineering firm (Asset)
- ASP construction card (asset)
- Good knowledge of environmental laws (asset)
- Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel throughout the territory of the province of Quebec
