_**Senior Accountant**_

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Manager of Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis will be responsible for all facets of Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis, the Annual Budget process and regular forecasting, both mid and long-range.

Your primary purpose is to partner with your finance & accounting (FAIT) and operational colleagues to ensure the effective communication of key monthly and quarterly financial, operational and treasury insights to the Leadership Team and other stakeholders (Board and banks). You will facilitate and lead the annual budget process and regular forecasting and modeling (supported by your colleagues) using cloud-based tools. Finally, you will facilitate and coordinate a successful and effective annual audit process.

**Responsibilities include**:

- **Strategic Conversion**
- You understand our overall strategy and can articulate tactical actions that support it through project planning, enrollment, and ongoing execution.
- **Advise and Consult**:

- Lead a comprehensive, Corporate Performance Management system (VENA) with strong support from the Manager, Information Systems, and our Controller team.
- Facilitate and lead the annual corporate budget with strong support of your FAIT team.
- Facilitate and lead the annual financial statement audit with strong support from your FAIT team.
- **Foundational Communication**:

- Lead the preparation and timely delivery of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and bank compliance reporting. This includes meeting all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines as required for the Leadership Team, external Banking, Board of Directors and Audit Committee financial reporting packages.
- Prepare and analyze the Board of Director and Audit Committee packages for review by the Corporate Controller, VP Finance, and Operational leaders.
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to understand needs and design effective reporting.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Controller and VP Finance on corporate financial accounting policy, financial system integrity matters and process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Controller and VP Finance to establish accounting reporting necessary to transact greenfield expansions in new geographic regions.
- **Forecasting Insights**:

- Lead financial planning and analysis (including the budget cycle).
- Under the supervision of the Corporate Controller and VP Finance, maintain the corporate banking model monthly, including ‘what if’ planning scenarios to support navigating a VUCA environment and corporate development opportunities.

**Other**:

- **Accounting Consultation**- determine necessary accounting policy analysis and direction to the Corporate Controller.
- **Tax **- in collaboration with the Corporate Controller, you will prepare Canadian and US corporate tax returns.
- **Other** - as business needs arise or wane, deploying an agile mindset to diverse work or project cancellation.
