We are currently seeking a self-motivated **Production Supervisor** to fill a position that will be based in **Mississauga, Ontario**. **This position is a full-time role and hours of work will be rotating shifts of 8-hr, 10-hr or 12-hr, with the possibility of moving to a 24/7 schedule.**

The Global Products division offers sophisticated research and development and holds hundreds of patented designs to manufacture, market, and service reliable drill rigs, innovative drill string products, rugged performance tooling, durable drilling consumables, and quality parts for customers worldwide.

**Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)**:
Key duties include:

- Supervise unionized workforce- Monitor attendance, payroll, timecards- Assist with Operator Training- Take an active roll in Boart Longyear’s Lean program- Help with continuous improvement projects throughout the shop- Make improvements in our Product Manufacturing Processes (Cycle / Lead times)- Be an active contributor to our ISO-9001/2000, ISO-14000 and ISO-18000 programs- Assist with the monthly Quality / Safety Meetings - Maintain a professional, clean shop**Required** **Skills and Experience**

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:

- Supervisory experience- 5+ years machining experience- Working knowledge of CBA administration in a unionized environment- Knowledge of Health and Safety laws of Ontario- Good knowledge of CNC Programming/CNC/MC machine set up- Troubleshooting skills- Good communication skills- Able to work rotating shift work consisting of 8-hr, 10-hr or 12-hr shifts**Reporting Relationship**

The position reports directly to the Production Manager, who is located in Mississauga, Ontario.
