The Bartender is a key member of the Front of House Team. Bartenders fill drink orders either directly from customers at the bar or through servers who place drink orders for dining room guests. Bartenders must know a wide range of drink recipes and be able to mix drinks correctly, quickly, and without waste. In addition to mixing and serving drinks, bartenders stock and prepare garnishes for drinks and maintain an adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies. They also may wash glassware and utensils and serve food to guests who eat at the bar.

The Bartender will also serve guests at tables within the bar area, with knowledge of the menu and able to answer questions and recommend selections from the menus. They work closely with all other front and back of house teams to ensure the efficient operation of the restaurant, and to provide an extraordinary guest experience.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Communicate and be an example of Cambridge Mill's core values by demonstrating genuine and thoughtful hospitality in the day-to-day execution of duties.
- Embody a great service culture and create a high level of service standards and excellence.
- Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages
- Interact with guests, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess guests needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certificate an asset such as WSET
- Open availability an asset
- MUST have a valid Smart Serve certificate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-35 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
