Early Childhood Educator Part Time Position

Port Coquitlam, Canada Kid's Cottage Daycare Society Full time

**Hours**: Approximately 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Starting Sept 2,2025
- Report to the Supervisor
- Provide open communication with parents and co workers
- Provide quality, interactive programming

QUALIFICATONS
- A valid Early Childhood Education and Infant/Toddler Certificate
- A minimum of 2 years direct experience with children
- Recent and relevant child related workshop
- Up to date Criminal record check
- Up to date First Aid Certificate
- Excellent knowledge of Kid’s Cottage Daycare Society policies

- Excellent interpersonal behavior, communication and critical thinking skills
- The ability to work independently and within a team
- Demonstrated initiative to create and support programming components
- Demonstrated interest in continued professional development
- Ability to handle high stress situations and manage them effectively
- Encourage self-help skills as well as facilitate problem solving techniques and respectful mannerisms
- Observe and bring to the attention of the supervisor any developmental concerns among children in their class to provide early intervention techniques and strategies

RATE OF PAY
- $26.95(plus $6 wage initiative funding)
- Benefits after completion of 3-month probation

This position requires union membership with BCGEU and is open to male and female applicants.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $26.95 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
